High school is about more than just academics. It’s about learning to deal with people in a positive and productive way, establishing good habits before you leave the nest, and trying to find an idea of who you are before you go off to college or the work force or the army and really discover who you are. One thing is for sure, friends make it a lot easier to get through the process, and one of the best ways to make new friends with people you might have never gotten to know from all different grades is by playing a sport or joining a campus group. However, despite the many benefits of joining a sports team (such as staying fit, making friends, and doing something you’re passionate about), it can also be a big commitment.
